Embedded Tension Hardware

Another connection method SWC uses for Structural trusses requiring concealed connections is internal tensioning hardware. These special embedded anchors utilize tension rods and expanding pins to preload timber joints in a variety of configurations. Wooden dowels are inserted where pins are installed, creating a more classic “dowelled” appearance. This connection method, while “classic” in appearance, is significantly more economical than true mortice and tenon or dowelled connections.
