Structural Wood Components is located in the Houston metropolitan area approximately 40 miles northwest of downtown in Waller, Texas. The business utilizes a 6-acre site with approximately 13,000 square feet of shop space under roof.

Our primary product is hand-crafted, Heavy Timber Trusses; always decorative, and many times structural. Exposed beam trusses are supplied for interior or exterior installation in structures, large and small. We utilize heavy beams typically made of Southern Yellow Pine, Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar or Bald Cypress. Reclaimed beams and straight or curved Glue-laminated materials are also used. Truss spans have ranged from as short as five feet for personal residences to 80 feet for a large retail center. In addition to Heavy Timber Trusses, Structural Wood Components supplies a number of related heavy timber products, including loose beams, matching timber rafters & purlins, scroll-cut accent pieces, outdoor trellis kits, fireplace mantels, custom-fabricated steel hardware for timber joinery, and profiled timber and steel shipping cradles for industrial product shipping.

Structural Wood Components is committed to support of environmentally conscious building practices in our industry. Many times we utilize timber cut from development acreage and convert the material into building components with little added environmental impact compared to processed materials. Our use of timber often eliminates burning onsite, which produces both waste and air pollutants. We work frequently with our clients to satisfy Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) project objectives and when possible we source materials from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) or Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) suppliers.

Structural Wood Components has designed, manufactured and delivered Heavy Timber Trusses for restaurants, banks, country clubs, churches, schools, libraries, outdoor pavilions, car & motorcycle dealerships, barns, apartment complexes and large custom homes, only to mention a small number of structures incorporating decorative timber product.
