Structural Wood Components partnered with a well-known general contractor in the Conroe, Texas area to provide seven commercial trusses in the clubhouse at the new, 182-acre, 18-hole Grand Pines Golf Course at Bentwater on Lake Conroe. The clubhouse contains a Pro Shop, Dining Room, Patio Dining Area and Locker Rooms. Four of our trusses are located in the Dining Room and the other three are located above the Patio Dining Area.

The trusses are a modified Scissor style, and utilize Douglas Fir timbers with a smooth (S4S) finish, hidden plates and externally visible bolting. As added touches, scallops were cut in the bottom side of diagonal webs, routed chamfers were added to all free beam edges, and stainless steel bolting was used. The interior trusses span approximately 30 feet.

Our trusses at the Grand Pines Golf Club are another example of Structural Wood Components products installed at several prestigious golf clubs in the Houston metropolitan area including The Carlton Woods Club, Shadow Hawk Golf Club, The Houstonian and Conroe Country Club.
